Memphis Horticultural Society Meeting – City-Wide Garden Tourism in Memphis with Kim Halyak

Kim Halyak is an avid gardener, garden speaker and driving force behind garden tourism is Memphis. In 2015, she started the Cooper-Young Garden Club, growing from 11 to 28 members. In 2016, she founded the Cooper-Young Garden Walk, a quirky, imaginative 2 day garden extravaganza that encompasses 100+ gardens, artist studios, businesses, community gardens and much neighborhood involvement.  Kim’s mission is make Memphis and the Midsouth a premier garden tourist destination through open garden tours and special garden events. 

Join us on February 7 for Kim’s update on the 2023 City-Wide Garden Walk, a “must attend” 6 week summer garden event for garden lovers across the Mid-South and beyond. For more information, see the event website at https://experiencememphisgardens.org/.

Kim’s presentation will be held in the Goldsmith Room at the Memphis Botanic Garden at 6:00 p.m. (NOTE EARLIER START TIME!) It’s free for Memphis Horticultural Society members, but guests are asked to make a $5 donation at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
